More than just a hat: Fundraiser helps share Kona history

You are a part of Kona’s history. These districts and our island have been built by the sheer will, passions, contributions, and resilience of the people who live, visit, and love it here.

You are invited to help preserve Kona stories by purchasing a limited edition “HISTORY MAKER” hat, designed by Kona Historical Society Board President Lisa Greenwell Hummel and Community Engagement Manager Carolyn Lucas-Zenk.

By purchasing this hat today, you will be leaving your own mark on Kona history. Proceeds go toward supporting our mission, including our education and preservation initiatives. You help ensure our treasures are preserved and shared for today, tomorrow and the future. You are a HISTORY MAKER!

Hats cost $25 each and are only available until Oct. 24 on Custom Ink, a social fundraising platform where individuals and groups raise money and awareness for causes that they’re passionate about through the sale of customized apparel. At the end of this fundraiser, Custom Ink will be shipping the shirts and sending the funds that were raised to Kona Historical Society.
